Penhale Caravan and Camping site.

This is a little gem of a site. Based near the seaside town of Fowey. The views from the site look over the St Austell bay. The site consists of 12 static caravans, level serviced pitches for tourers, tents and campervans plus a large non electric camping field.

The Site

The serviced pitches have both water and electric hook up and are all individually marked by fences. They are large pitches and can accommodate most peoples setups. There is a shower block that is open 24/7 and also places to empty grey waste water. Outside the shower block there is a small rotary line for you to hang any wet washing on. The site is also dog friendly. The reception area when open has a small shop that sells the basics that might be needed, but larger shops are just a short drive away. Also on site based with the shower block are coin operated washer and dryer. Camp fires and BBQs are allowed as long as they are raised off the ground so that the grass does not catch on fire.

Local Area

There is lots to do In the local area. A trip to Fowey and have a day trip on the mevagissey ferry and watch for the dolphins. Then return the same way before heading back to the site.

There are local beaches the closest one being Polkerris which is under a mile away and walking distance from the site. There is also Par which is a dog friendly mile long sandy beach with caves and rock pools to enjoy.

Also close by is Par indoor market where you can spend a few hours walking around looking for the bargain shopping experience of a proper market.

Maybe you fancy taking a little drive to the Eden project and spending the day walking around looking at the different plants that are grown there.
